It was on the Ar tonelico forum in Fall of '09, where I met a group of members, some good colleagues with love to creating a video game, others, my newly made friends whom we spent countless hours dreaming up storyline elements, plot twists, serious and comedy dialogues, and character development, just to name a few. You name it, we probably talked about it for ARM: Game (A Reyvateil's Melody: Game). We've used RPG Maker VX to develop and refine the non-commercial game, allowing us to hone our creative skills. For me, it was story writing.
Always loved stories as a kid, and even now, I still do. To be able to craft a story with graphical quality, having the sprites act out their roles, creating those atmospheres of joy, anger, and sorrow for the gamer playing it find rewarding, perhaps even life changing. After all, stories from time immemorial, teach us more about our world and ourselves.
A few knew, most don't yet know, that I've been soloing a side complimentary project with the RPG Maker VX ACE, called Bacoom Isle. Here's a little synopsis on my little side project.
What happens when Adeliade, Origin of Sol Lyafre, becomes the Origin of Bacoom Isle? If you answered weekly purges of Demons, you've answered right! Faced with an unknown breed of Demon invaders, it's up to Adeliade to bring peace and order back to Bacoom Isle. But, what happens when she must deal with someone she least expects?
A small tale of Adeliade's life as an Origin and the hopes and fears one has.
It's still a work in progress, but I hope you enjoy these pictures!
Many thanks to my fellow ARM: Game colleagues for creating the portraits and sprites of Adeliade and Manelia (and originality traits ARM: Game itself has), and more thanks to various script writers to once again have side-view battlers on ACE, among other scripts implemented to date. Gust, Inc. for all the Ar tonelico concepts that have opened a whole new world of possibilities; and of course, to the staff who created the RPG Maker VX and ACE for creating such opportunities for my friends and I to hone our creative skills.

And with that, back to work I go on this multi-route side story. Later!
